June 2012

This summer is a busy time for the Institute. Please be sure to check the schedule of the regional receptions which are being held and attend if possible. We appreciate all of our members who are arranging and hosting these regional receptions – Jody O’Brien, Lydia Mihalik, Kristen Johnson and Cheryl Buckland in Findlay, Lynda Bowers, Susan Fairless and Pam Mowry in Wooster and Amy Casner, Jessica Forsythe, Sharon Gingerich, Colleen O’Toole, Randi Ostry and Amy Sabath in Cleveland.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the annual summer picnic on July 19 at the Governor’s Residence. It is always a fun event and this year’s class will be electing their representative to the Board.
Many of you are working on your own campaigns for office this year and many of you are reaching out to help them in those campaigns. That is one of the strengths we are building as our group of Institute members grows each year. We will share with you opportunities to be more involved in the Presidential and US Senate campaigns in Ohio as those opportunities present themselves in the weeks and months ahead.
Again, Ohio will be in the spotlight as the “must” win state for our Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney. Over the years we have built a great reputation for being able to deliver when the chips are down. I am confident that the 2012 campaign will help us continue to strengthen that reputation.

Jo Ann

Institute Friends:  It's summer....but the livin' ain't easy.....With the economy on the precipice and our national security at risk with the automatic and draconian cuts set to occur in our military next year, and, finally, with our fundamental values being undermined by a national social policy which relies on entitlement programs....we are facing the most important national election of our lifetimes.

The Institute has identified and trained you all because we know you want to be part of making a difference in people's lives.  The time to act is now. We know many of you are involved in local, state, and national races. We are proud of the Institute's record and reputation for this involvement. We ask you to go one step further:  JoAnn has often spoken of "virtual precincts". We are asking you and your families to become virtual precinct captains. You don't have to lick an envelope, ring a doorbell, or make a phone call to do this. It costs you nothing...except your time. We ask that you contact people on your email contact list and inform them of the critical issues of the day and the reason that we should elect Mitt Romney president and Josh Mandel U.S. Senator. We ask you to do this regularly. If you do this, you will become the captain of an army set to take back the presidency, take back the U.S. Senate, and maintain the House majority.

Should we be able to do this, we will give our President Romney the tools and the ability to change America's course and to change our children's futures. Your help is needed now. Please....do what you can do.
I will look forward to seeing you all at our summer picnic.  God bless!
